  • Color Table | 2011

A construction made of steel pipes and clamps that can be assembled in different lengths and width (up to 6 meters) using different color combinations and different tops.
(Tubeklamp®, steel pipes and clamps, 10mm hardened glass | h:72 w:250 d:85 cm

    Full Leather Jacket | 2011

A set of two high quality mobile speakers upholstered in leather. By upholstering the speakers I wanted to extend their lifetime. Often when speakers are old they still sound good but the exterior is damaged, with the leather cover they will only gain more character when they age. The speakers are on wheels like a guitar amplifier because I wanted it to be possible to enjoy speakers of this size at more than one place in your home. ( SWAN speakers, leather, wood, MDF | h:82 w:48 d:32 cm )

    Skull Chair | 2008

The 'Skull Chair' is part of my 'Vanitas' collection which is a collection of products inspired by the Dutch vanitas still-life paintings from the 16th and 17th century. The characteristic type of paintings where symbols of emptiness, time and death were placed on the canvas as a reminder of the vanity of earthly life.
My goal was to combine the idea of thinking about death with a modern design vision and to allow the user of the product to enjoy every moment of his life by surrounding himself with the Vanitas symbols. This creates an environment that makes you understand the mortality and the absurdity of the present, but does so by letting you enjoy the very moment by giving an authentic and interesting product experience. (fibre-reinforced polyester h:80 w:80 d:85 cm)

    Brain | 2008

'Brain' is also part of the 'Vanitas' collection. It is a semi-soft ottoman that makes sitting in the 'Skull Chair' much more comfortable. ( leather, polyurethane foam h:35 w:40 d:40 cm )

    The Speaker | 2008

'The Speaker' is an attempt to make the relationship between user and audio system more personal. Instead of music coming out of square boxes or strange shapes, it's coming out of a human form. With the right music 'The Speaker' becomes the singer itself. ( leather, aluminium, electronics, speakers h:163 w:140 d:25 cm )

Make LOVE not ZONE | 2008

There are lots of places in the city of Utrecht where the word ZONE is painted on the road, this means your speed limit is 30 km/h. At some places the paint wears off and changes the letters, like instead of the letter Z it became L and I noticed that you can easily change ZONE into LOVE. With a group of 17 people we changed all the ZONE's into LOVE's on the night before Valentines Day.

    Re-recycled | 2007

A bar-stool made from recycled barrier-posts. Because the inside of the posts is lighter and has a different tension than the outside the material bends slightly after being cut, this is what gives the stool its form. The bubbled structure inside the post is created during the production process when the plastic is injected into the mold. (recycled PET h:75 w:35 d:35 cm )

    Autobots | 2007

After buying a bunch of the same toy cars on a flea-market there was only one thing to do: Glue them all together. This project made together with [Niels Schuurmans](http://nielsschuurmans.nl/ "Niels Schuurmans"),
[Jörgen Smit](http://jorgensmit.nl/ "Jörgen Smit") and
[Wouter van der Sluijs](http://woutervds.nl/ "Wouter")
( toy-cars, glue h:40 w:25 d:14 cm )

    Toy | 2006

A small car with an electric motor and two spray cans pointed down. Driving with your hands and spraying with your feet you can paint and write on any surface. At the beginning it's not the easiest thing to do, but after a while of practice you can get pretty good at it. ( electric car, temporary marking spray. max.speed 13 km/h, h:75 w:110 d:70 cm )

    My weapon against v.2 | 2006

For a moment of extreme anger that must be self-restrained. A set of two bitten rings as a reminder of rage that needs to be released immediately. ( silver, h:2.2 w:2.2 d:1 cm )

    Color Mobile | 2004

By turning one of the wheels the rest also starts to turn and the colours blend together. ( steel, wood, foam-board, h:200 w:100 d:70 cm )

    Concrete Lamp | 2004

Sometimes plants can move concrete by growing under it. I wanted to make a lamp that would be able to lift a concrete block. A mood-light that makes the room not completely dark. ( steel, concrete, PMMA, h:58 w:23 d:23 cm )

    My weapon against | 2003

A metal fist to bang on the table for the moments when you've got the feeling that something has to stop right now! ( tin, h:10 w:15 d:10 cm )
